this morning i went to the art institute of washington. they had this litte open house thingy. it seems pretty cool. the atmosphere there seems laid back and chill, it doesn't seem like a school at all. the classrooms are set to look like studios and such. pretty cool.

got a little confused with the directions to get there, but once where i actually saw the building, it got clearer. i figured that if i do get accepted to this school, i'd be commuting. i'd take the metro, because well the parking over there is a bitch. for real for real. you got your choice of parking meters, or garage parking, which is about 40-60 greens a month. and well, money doesn't grow off trees. so i shall be getting my ass on the train! hahah plus the metro station is right in front of the damn school! so that's pretty convenient. and i like the loacation too, it's close to pretty much everything.

so yea, in the future i will soon now how to ride the metro, i'll be an expert, instead of just knowing the basics on how to get to pentagon city, the airport, and springfield, i will now know the rosslyn stop.

so anyways, the presentations were pretty much what got me sold. i mean, AIW was pretty much my first choice, but this just confirmed it. i'd be learning about what i want to do. the curriculum sparks my interest, it's mostly based on what you're concentration is.

the presentations were so good, that i even considered maybe going into media arts and animation or even digital media. that was a consideration. event the culinary arts program looked cool. but i will stick to graphic design!

anyways yea ... i got the application and everything i need. filled the basics this morning, just got to work on that little essay part. so i'm pretty psyched about this school, AND it's not TOO far from home. a good half an hour. not to bad huh? considering i'm a homebody, unless my mother is serious about getting me an apartment! haha

after the school thing, went home and got to cooking. had to cook madd food for the party we were going too. mann it was like a fucking suana in the house. it was hot as hell. cooking isn't fun when you're rushed!

afterwards, the party. gahh, it was alright i guess. a bit boring. okay a lot boring, that i found my ass an empty loveseat and went my ass to sleep. yepp. this is the exciting life of amanda.
